Totally agree matey,But got to say im a little disappointed in VM if charges are true.Its clear that sky were desperate for VMTV so VM were in the driving seat and should have got the best deal for there customers and i think £5,£7 or £10 charge for vip xl customers isnt and not including sports 3+4 is a shambles,Now they are left with no bargaining tools and sky have total control.Its all very good having a long term carrage agreement but it doesnt stop them upping the prices and also giving us new HD channels that start after the agreement was signed.I felt selling to sky was a mistake and i feel things will get worse,Monday`s annoucement could be the start of price increases and the slow demise of VM from the TV side of things.I so hope i am very wrong

VM will be concentrating on getting the best deal for their shareholders - it's what companies do. If that means all customers have to pay for the Premium HD channels or if they are included in the VIP or XL tiers at no additional charge will be based on which is thought to get the best return for the shareholders. Let's just wait until they are ready to tell us - coming soon

Monday can come and go for all I care. I've already decided that I'm not going to bother take on any of the newer packages. Virgin already screw me out of £6 a month just because I want a decent phone line into my house instead of their shoddy effort, so why would I want to pay another £27.50 or so to get just 2 HD sports channels. I don't care about SD sports channels. Almost double my monthly bill for 2 channels, no thanks VM. I already feel cheated that 20% of my monthly bill is to pay not to have a phone line that doesn't even have basic items like caller display on it for heavens sake.

These channels, along with the current crop of HD channels that Virgin supply, would give us the majority of the (Non-Premium)HD channels that Sky have.

ps I know the 3 Sky channels i mentioned are coming. Its just, when?

arts 1 and 2 are likely to be rebranded to sky2 and sky3 hd as arts are clsign down to contractra on sky 1-3

Yeah I did think that was what they may be referring to, would have though it very strange to close that many HD channels especially as a carriage deal has been done for them with Virgin. Looking forward to seeing some of the stuff on Arts in HD and 5.1 sound.

History, Nat Geo Wild and MGM HD are the HD channels I'd most like to see on Virgin that we don't have already. MGM especially because the one thing we don't see much of at the moment in HD is films. (I know Film 4 is imminent!)

just had a VM enginner out to repalce my old fualty pace box, gave me a new v hd box, i asked him about the sky sports hd channels and he says he has had emails saying it will be £7 extra per box. I know its come from an engineer but all the rumors and chat is pointing in that direction. If its true i done think i will go for ss hd just noemal ss sd
