Seems odd to me as they will never move The Simpsons to Sky Living (or will they?) Also Sky Living does not scream US shows in its name does it?

I take your point but lets be honest they are an even bigger mess at the moment , who knows maybe we'll see a complete rebrand.
Wasn't Sky Living originally aimed at a female audience hence why its logo was once a pink colour , Sky needs to go back to the drawing board with both channels in my opinion as they are a complete mess.

Agree with you regarding the sky channels being a bit of a mess. I can`t understand why they don`t do more with sky 2,which at present is no more than a repeats channel. As you also point out the Living channel was originally aimed at women but as somehow lost it`s way these days.

Sky have been consciously moving Sky Living away from the Female slant for quite some time now.
Like others, I like the idea of the new proposed focus of Sky One and Living.

Sure thing. The VM channel listing has been needing some "TLC" for some time now. It simply looks stupid; the news channels have as much space than the docs and lifestyle (combined). I think Virgin should employ Sky's HD swap system by moving HD/SD variations to the bottom of each section.

That was the reason for Sky purchasing the Flextech channels they had been trying for years to get a female focused channel which was a hit with viewers and after 2 failed attempts decided to just buy Living. However if the plan was to just morph it into Sky 1 lite why pay the money for it?
Whoever is looking after Sky1 needs the sack IMO they are doing an awful job and some of the commissions dreadful. The same needs to be said for whoever is looking after Sky Living.

Or at least put the HD variant next to the SD channel as in some cases(ITV) they are miles away and many people probably just watch the SD instead of going looking for the HD ones.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015)
Why Don't Sky Give Brand New Names For There Entertainment Channels Such as:
Rename Sky 1 into Sky Family
Rename Sky Living into Sky Crime
Rename Sky Atlantic into Sky Exsclusive
Rename Pick TV into Sky Free Range
Rename Challenge into Sky Entertainment
Rename Sky Arts 1 into Sky Performance
Rename Sky Arts 2 into Sky Lifestyle
Thats what i would do if i was BskyB.

I think Sky would end up with egg on their face if they went for those names.
