Interesting! It actually makes a lot of sense for Virgin to upgrade their existing equipment to the newer wireless standard, instead of just pushing out entirely new hardware.
I'm still a bit sceptical if only because that just seems like the sensible thing to do and that is very out of character for Virgin.

Semantics.
There's a bigger difference between the "SH2AC" and the "SH2" than between the SH2 and the SH1.
