Probably. Tories are all farmers, so they're up early to do the milking. Labourites are all dole scroungers who have no reason to get out of bed. Figures ...

Sunderland Central about to declare. Let's see if the swing holds up. Would be nice for the result to be clear before the markets open at 1am.

Ahhh, so he's confirming that Labour rely on unemployed people who have no need to get up early...

Could the different approaches to the queue problems be partly to do with the location of the actual voting room. If it is next to a easily accessible area it might be very difficult to close off an area properly with the people properly isolated.

Two possible reasons for the queues:-
1) Labour voters having to get some 'Dutch courage' before voting.
2) It takes time for a person to vote 20 times. They cant vote again too quickly or they'll be recognised.

Washington & Sunderland West (the 2nd seat to declare) had an 11.6% swing from Labour to the Tories.

Labour hold Sunderland Central. Not sure on swing but it is one the Tories were attempting to win.

4.8% Swing. So doesn't hold up there.

This is crazy. All sorts of issues with voting across the country, people staging sit ins and protests

Why did these people leave it so late? Why was there a surge of voters in the last election? Did they forget until the news kicked in?
