Yes because any other season the race would be all but over, it's not so much Utd winning it so much as the other teams throwing it away, this season will go down as the league no one wanted to win.

Righto....
If you look at the league right now, notice all the teams are in their usual places?

The league is a lot more competitive with the smaller teams getting results against the bigger ones. Whoever wins it will have won one of the hardest leagues.

Anyway great result for Arsenal last night. Should be safe in 3rd spot, a draw at City vs Liverpool would help that. Great atmosphere in the stadium after the goal, it was getting tense.

That's another way of looking at it and a fair one tbh, that's due to the gap being closed on the bigger clubs by the rest more than anything.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
On several points, Terry is a disgrace to all his mates, he is married, and goes around poking all his mates wife's, if it was mine, the git would not be standing. He has got away lightly for what he has done. But there again, football always stands by the wealthy, where players from clubs in lower leagues get hammered, pampered players only want the money, and don't give a damn about the shirt they where or mates.
Secondly, What the hell is wrong with Spurs, they were pathetic last night, top four finish, no chance, top six no chance on last nights performance. Come on Harry kick them up the back side.

Have to admit I quite enjoyed that after he said Spurs would claim 3rd Main risk to our 3rd spot looks like Man City now.

Except City, the fans are starting to get vertigo for being to high for so long.
Who else thinks it was a penalty against Fabregas last night? Micah Richards got pulled for a similar action early in the season
Glad it wasn`t given mind, personally think Arsenal deserved the win, i just don`t understand why they allways try and play through teams rather that get to the bye-line and cross it, it seems the score when they go to the wings...

Liverpool are also not in their normal position. Only the top 3 are the usual suspects found in the Champions League spots. I would have said Spurs and Villa before but they seem to be slipping a bit. It is mostly the same. This is the beauty, or drawback, of a league. Teams can have good runs of form, there can be surprises, but the sheer amount of games means there is an invertible regression to the mean in most cases. The season has been the most interesting for years but looking at the table now and there are few shocks. In the end the good teams usually get the results in the course of 38 games.
I love the league myself. You can't fault it. If your 1st you were the best team. No arguments. Man United are not worse than Leeds but lost to them, great for exictment but the FA is not the test of a team. United are however better than Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, Villa, City and so on. Chelsea, so far, are slightly better than them. It's the only real test IMO. (Although I love the Champions League as well).

It wasn't a penalty because it was outside the box. Would have been a free-kick.

Arsenal are much more successful at scoring by passing though the defence and sliding it in. They have been like that for a long time, I have lost count of the amount of times Henry just slid a ball past the keeper with the side of his foot. Wonderful. That kind of football is just how Arsenal play. The type of goal we scored last night, crossed from the wings, is a rarity for our squad because we don't have great headers of the ball and quite a short team.

Own Goals is United's second highest scorer after Rooney.

Arf.
The one game where both managers are equally gutted at the result.

Nae luck McGhee. I'm sure the Celtic job will still be open in the summer when Monkeyheid finally gets the bullet.
