Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Gig at Kirkstall Abbey on Saturday night. Fantastic location and well organised. The bands were all good especially Ash and Sleeper and reasonably priced (compared to the crazy money my son and daughter pay to see stuff). Barely anyone under 40 there out of the 8000 or so people so I didn't feel too much of an old git. Walked home in 10 minutes afterwards so all good.

Went to see "The ELO Experience" last night, and "Deadpool+Wolverine" tonight.
Both were excellent.

Even better in the 80s in my previous life as a DJ.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Very funny Twitter post from Andy Murray after they lost their match at the Olympics (and thus retiring from tennis).
He also changed his bio from "I play tennis" to "I played tennis"…

Sometimes it’s the little things, the dogs are running around the garden playing together (although anyone watching would think they’re trying to maul each other) my wife’s is having a snooze in the snug I can smell the washing drying on the line and I have a icy cold non alcoholic beer and a cigarette sat at the patio table.
All is briefly ok

There was a hill I struggled getting up on my bike so I avoided it and went a different way. Went on a 10 mile ride yesterday with said hill almost at the end of the planned route so I decided to give it a go. Killed it....

I think you were so ansxious of that hill that you prepared yourself by training and doing all the "side quests" that would help you beat the mountain and then at the end of it all you said "Eh, that's it?".
This is what I think was going on in your life at least, definietly motivational

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
A friend rang me last night, saying his wife had dropped out of a pre-booked lunch at Home (a very (very) good restaurant in Leeds) - did I want to go with him (foc)…
I (obviously) said yes (I’d been to it in a previous location twice before, and it’s (just sub) Michelin Star), and had a amazing seven course tasting lunch (with paired wines), an extra bottle of very tasty White Burgundy to drink between courses, an extra cheese course with a delicious dessert wine, then espresso with accompanying large Cognac.
I may go for a nap soon…

Went a bit mental with exercise today 2560 calories burnt in exercise alone. This is machine and fitbit estimates but the treadmill will be under as it does not take my weight into consideration the fitbit does

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Well as my dad has died I need to transfer all the household bills to me, I know some will need a death certificate.
Well this morning I called Affinity Water, and it was very painless, they just changed my dads name to mine and the same with the Direct debits.
I'm expecting agro from EON, but once they've swapped names I will find a cheaper supplier.
