Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
Business customers do get more in terms of SLA's. I've been out doing a business fault at 10pm on a Saturday. If it's intermittent or slow speeds or something like that the business faults call centre team will probably monitor and if any drop offs are noticed dispatch an engineer. If it's a loss is service an engineer will be dispatched pretty much straight away

Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
I can vouch for the good service levels on the business cable broadband as a customer.
When I had performance issues they split the node I was on inside a week to fix it. The few times there has been a noise issue causing loss of service as vm_tech has said an engineer has called at a weekend to fix.
Also if you call support out of hours the call goes usually to the Cardiff team who actually work with you there and then on the fault to see if they can see the problem on the CMTS end.

Ah fair enough. Yes I have used P1 before when dealing with outages. Not internet though. I get what you mean now

You mean Swansea or do they have an office in Cardiff as well?

Thanks, so it is pretty much like BTO's Enhanced Care. Which is what I wanted to hear too

The one I am thinking about was dedicated to business faults/service I believe. Has that gone now?

I suspect you're thinking of Newport there. I vaguely remember visiting it eons ago.

Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
Can anyone advise how they managed to get the 300mb upgrade? For £13.99
I just phoned up asked for homeworks 300mb and was told £30 extra a month
Explained about price on website and was told if I phone back on Monday the loyalty team will offer a £6 discount meaning £24 a month
I already have the Hub, 200mb, TiVo xl and phone so can't understand the price increase
Also as others have mentioned I am only interested in the upload increase it is getting very poor the ratio
Thank you

Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
Call them on Monday. They can't do it for more than they advertised price. Don't let them give you nonsense.

Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
Any idea when we might see 20Mbps upload on the 200 package? I'm thinking maybe when they boost the homeworks to 30 up...

Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
Thanks for the replies
Finally spoke to somebody who explained the problem - I am on mates rates bundle so adding 300mb cancels my discount and reverts to full price - £30 increase to over £100 not worth it at the moment
Hopefully standard package will see faster uploads in the near future
