Re: Boxing 2013

Lewis has since criticised Fury and talked about how Haye is the underdog due to his height, Come on Lennox, actually watch Haye for a change, Valuev was a monster and his chin was lucky to still be attached after that 12th round. He says Haye's major factor is his Champion experience, ugh again Lennox, you're missing the fact he has a right hand that could topple a dictator.

The only thing I agree with him on is the persistent cheating from the Klitschko's. The thought of Lewis and Klitschko getting it on again is terrifying me though, two old men with no power between them slugging it out in a pointless contest.

Fury's gob is off and running again though, the quicker Haye breaks his jaw the better.

Sounds daft but if Haye floors a Klitschko then I think a fight that would have been amazing would be Haye vs Tyson, forget chins, power vs power, last man standing.

Re: Boxing 2013

Tim Bradley beat Márquez at the weekend. Unbelievable. Finds himself floored by an unknown Russian but beats Márquez no problem. I don't like this lad there's something about him. Hopefully Garcia can get a hold of him.

Re: Boxing 2013

Grab your beer hats folks we're going back to the US to finish what Hatton started. Devon Alexander has sought out another opponent leaving Amir Khan and mayweather wide open. Can Khan pull off the upset of all upsets and topple the undefeated king and greatest boxer of this generation. Probably not but if he gives him 12 rounds of hell he'll have my respect.

Floyd knows bringing the British crowd in would massively increase PPV buys he isn't daft.
Let's get the contract on the table and get this rolling.

Vitali was comfortably ahead when he was cut iirc, he'd hurt him badly if Lennox got in the ring with him

Re: Boxing 2013

Yep he had every round till that point. Whilst we can't say who'd eventually have won I'd say the odds by that point favoured Vitali.

Don't get me wrong the guys a British legend but am I the only one that thought Lewis wasn't as good as the media portrayed him? That Tyson fight was awfulbar a few hard punches on a well past it Iron Mike.

Did anyone watch Ruslan Provodnikov v Mike Alvarado ? I'm reading it was a proper fight, fight of the year so far ?

Yep, the guy is a monster. He's the unknown Russian I spoke of that put Bradley all over the shop every time he landed. He'll take Bradley out next time and I bet he flattens Danny Garcia and Lucas on his path too.

It was a great all action affair. I'm not too sure if I'd go with fight of the year as it wasn't as good as Alvarado Vs. Rios or Provodnikov Vs. Bradley in my opinion. Would love to see this kind of action week in, week out on TV.

Really looking forward to Rios Vs. Pacquiao next month then Broner Vs. Maidana in December. No news on who is picking up the Pacman fight yet. Hopefully not Primetime!

Re: Boxing 2013

I think Pacman will be on Boxnation. Khan and Money seem to be eyeing a London mega fight. Bradley won't be quick to get back in with Ruslan so maybe Garcia will.

If we want excitement though look no further than Audley Harrison vs Price. Make it happen. Clash of the bums.

I would not be surprised to see Audley turn up in this:

Re: Boxing 2013

The Heavyweight division is pretty much set for a while anyway. Haye flattens Fury and Price is in Limbo opening up Price vs Fury whilst Haye chases Vitali down, Probably to no avail given Haye has had one experience and a few years to suss the Klitschkos. Both Wlad and Vitali have to push and lean to win fights. It's almost like they're wrestling rather than boxing. This is a huge issue for them because if anyone finds a way around that or we actually see a ref with a pair of balls then they'd both find themselves in trouble tackling Haye in a straight up speed and power battle. Get the pair of them out of Germany and find a ref that has a pair and the brothers of doom will fall. This is boxing for heavens sake. People pay to watch punches fly not to see the biggest heavyweights in the sport lean and wrestle their way to decisions.

Wlads recent fight was a disgrace. Bar a few good shots he wrestled the bloke all over the ring.

Re: Boxing 2013

3 decent fights last night. Brian Rose vs Javier Maciel was worth watching, scoring results weren't that of the fight, it was a little closer but still Rose came out winner. Joshua gave Butlin digs he'll need icepacks for, the guy now needs to be tested, Eddie Hearn pretty much shrugged at taking it easy and not rushing him. And Kell Brook tore into Senchenko.
