Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 1.
Media Boy need info from Virgin viewers in the Grimsby & Scunthorpe area only.
Local TV Broadcaster 'Seven' has told Ofcom they will be rebranded as Lincolnshire Living from January 2013.
Have anyone from the Grimsby & Scunthorpe area got any new info on the rebrand date or has it been rebrand yesterday or today?
'Seven' is broadcasting on Virgin Channel 879 (Grimsby & Scunthorpe only).
Thanks for any update.

Maybe you should watch Al Jazeera for a while and then watch PressTV for a similar length of time. It might give you some perspective on the difference between news reporting and propaganda.

There is a more appropriate thread to discuss Al Jazeera here:

Very true mate, but ESPN at least haven't gone overboard like Setanta and haven't gone bankrupt. Eurosport is good, but it isn't really a big hitter in the sports market is it though.

[/QUOTE]So you had actually watched a news programme on this channel before you posted had you? I'm surprised. What exactly did you take to be subtle propaganda?
Seriously, Richard, watch the channel and judge for yourself. If you perceive it to be biased, I would welcome your comments on why you think that.
Propaganda, indeed!

Correct link: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/11...returning.html
Would other members prefer it if Al Jazeera were discussed in this thread or in the above thread concerning Al Jazeera and it's buyout of Current TV?

That depends. Do you have any evidence to support your claim that Current TV may be returning to the UK? (If not, The Basement may be a better place for the discussion)

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 1.
I didn't think this was necessarily worth a new thread, but there appears to have been a significant reduction in the amount of ITV content available in TV for xl (on demand). Anyone know anything?
---------- Post added at 10:06 ---------- Previous post was at 10:05 ----------
To keep it on topic, any word on UK TV on demand, and now we have cbs drama can we expect an od offering from that seeing as we already have od content from action and reality?

Yes it disappoints me that there has been a reduction in ITV on demand content and l don't really know why and on the topic of UKTV on demand were we not supposed to be getting that a while back or so we were told but then again its that old saying again of its coming soon.

Personally, I think you are just avoiding my question. You've never watched this channel, have you?

BBC One Scotland HD to launch on Monday.
The BBC will launch an HD for BBC One Scotland on Monday January 14th on Virgin Channel 108 (In Scotland).

Media Boy HQ thinks BBC One Wales HD will also launch on that date - but still not confrim.

No. In fact it has now transcribed that Current TV is going to be axed in America too, so I think it highly unlikely it will be returning to the UK!

As previously explained, you are not in a position to determine whether I have watched any particular channel or not.
It is true to say that I mentioned the subject earlier, but I now feel that the discussion is taking this thread too off topic, so, out of respect for Media Boy, I believe the other thread to be more appropriate, particularly as, in all probability, Current TV won't, in fact, be returning.
It turns out that they only bought the channel to try to get Al Jazeera into American homes full time and not to promote Current TV programming.
Of course, this is up to other members...
