Re: Anyone received a offer from Virgin regarding the 500gb box

Offer has arrived in the post this morning. It does indeed offer free multiroom for my existing V+ box, so my prediction was right!

However the original email stated that I would be given a unque code reference in the letter, but there wasn't one?

Will wait till my next bill arrives and then see if I can afford it.

Guessing that your post will take longer, as it will have to have it's passport checked at the border

The leaflet says that any existing extra boxes will continue to be charged at the current rate, but that relocating the V+ would be free, so my guess is yes.

Cheers for the update Andrew. I haven't received mine yet and probably won't until Tuesday now because of the bank holiday weekend.

If you wouldn't mind, could you post and further info or details that you've received or is the free multiroom the only offer / deal mentioned?

Cheers

Re: Anyone received a offer from Virgin regarding the 500gb box

No problem!

It gives a choice of the 2 boxes, with the offer of reduction on the 1TB from the £199.95 for new customers to the £149.95. The 500GB box is £49.95, goes on oficial sale on 1st July.

Offer reads as "What's more they (the boxes) both come with free lifetime servicing and repair, plus you can keep your existing V+ HD Box for free. Whichever box you choose, there's just a £40 installation fee and your TIVO service costs just £3 more per month on top of your TV XL package."

Cheers for that Andrew, It`s not the passport that hold it up, it`s the time it takes the stagecoach to bring it to the border so it can be put on to a high speed train.

Yours will be coming by boat. Remember, drake had time to finish his game of bowls before his TIVo arrived.

Now I`m really confused ie. extra boxes charged at current rate / keep your existing V+HD box for free with just £3pm more for TiVo service.
Is it free or not?

Re: Anyone received a offer from Virgin regarding the 500gb box

I read that as if you already have an existing extra box, then you will continue to pay for that, but if you relocate your V+ Box when you have your TIVO installed, then you won't pay an extra box charge on that one.

My guess is that they want to phase out V+, so they are essentially letting you keep it for nothing so that they don't have to pay scrappage charges.

What will be interesting will be if they geta fault once V+ is discontinued, and what do they do then.

Re: Anyone received a offer from Virgin regarding the 500gb box

So there is no £6/month charge of you have V+ moved to another room? I only had an extra V+ put in last month!!

So am I right in syaing if I order a TIVO (either size) VM will come and install and move V+ anywhere I want for for free and there will be no monthly charge? Total cost of this £40 install of TIVO + £50 or £150 TIVO charge?

My leaflet that arrived yesterday mnetions nothing about V+ and keeping it it just offers me the TIVO for the two prices.

Re: Anyone received a offer from Virgin regarding the 500gb box

My offer not here yet, but my post is usually about 2pm arrival

Any of you who have the offer regarding the relocation of the V+HD that will be free without the £6.50 mulitroom charge Right?

What about the charge of £49.99 for the Tivo Box and £40 Install, do we still have to pay all that.
