I would but I can't be here every Friday afternoon during term time.In fact I'm just as likely to forget as anyone else judging by the number of times I have missed it since June.

Not me. I still don't have enough questions to run a worthwhile quiz.
And that would be the problem with being a "regular quiz master", in that I can usually come up with enough questions to run it on alternate weeks, but one a week wouldn't be possible (and frankly I'm amazed that Nemesis ever managed this unless there was a well thumbed quiz question book somewhere in the background!)
Personally I like the "last winner sets the quiz" because it allows for variety in style and question types.

Besides that, I'm going to be on holiday next Friday, so I was planning on PMing my replies in to whoever set today's quiz to let me participate without letting people down by not being able to post one next week

Yes but that method means we have missed a quiz two weeks running..and now I suspect that unless someone volunteers we will have no quiz next week.

I suppose there still is a chance that Bifta might do one next Friday (or at some other day of the week if that suits him better). I got the impression last week that he did have a quiz, but didn't have the time to run it.

Re: The Real Friday Quiz
As stated back in post 127 i have a quiz ready to roll,
but as usual wont be able to host it until 6:30pm tonight.
If I was to host it, would there be any victims, errrrrrr willing participants.

Evenings can be a bit tricky for me, but I would if I have time.

Re: The Real Friday Quiz
I guess i could host from 6:00, but was giving more time for people to get in work and do whatever, eg cook dinner, throw cat out, get changed, fix the first martini of the weekend etc

I agree, 6:00 will probably be a bit early for many people.

I would probably participate (if I don't go swimming or go to the gym this evening) but I wouldn't be able to run next week's as mentioned.

I don't know where you got that impression, I don't have a quiz and I don't have time to run one and whoever came up with the stupid idea of the previous winner running the following weeks quiz needs stringing up. I say the winner should (as a reward for winning) be able to choose who he wants to land the thankless task on.
