Joss Whedon (Marvel) has stepped in to finish the movie
really really bizarre, you have thought there would have been a competitors clause in his contract that prevents him from doing any work with DC whilst his is actively engaged in Marvel projects.
I'll say it now though, if Justice League turns out to be good, it is going to be because of Joss Whedon. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes in and wants to change a tonne of stuff and DC let him.
Yeah doubt any studio would think about blockading something like this. Its helping out someone in need. I can imagine Christopher Nolan would be the only other person in the running.
Don't think anything will be changed our of respect. He's merely finishing a movie already scripted.
Its nice to see when tragedy strikes you can put money and contractual agreements to one side and just help.

I read that there are some re-shoots scheduled for the next month which Joss Whedon will be in charge of however WB have made it crystal clear that they will be kept to the same style and tone that Zack Snyder had intended.
I want to watch Valerian for the sci-fi-ness and I am sure it is going to be good but it is going to really niggle at me at how light hearted and non-serious it is because it is more or a young teens movie than an adult sci-fi.
yeah I wanted to check on that. I was looking at my list yesterday because I thought I had put The Dark Tower on it and I hadn't so I was looking to see when it was coming out. There are some very good films coming out this month (Wonder Woman, The Mummy, Kingsman, Transformers) and I had Word War Z in the middle of that but haven't heard anything about it so I assumed it had been put back for whatever reason. Shame because it would have added to an excellent month of summer movies with something a bit different.
As an fyi, tickets are available for pre-booking for a midnight premiere of Transformers and I am expecting Spiderman to become available when they update the showing times tomorrow evening.
I thought world war Z sequel will release this month. So, I have to wait till next year?
At least, the director has dropped out and they haven't found a new one. Tbh by the time they get everyone on board again, get the pre-production stuff sorted out, principle photography and then the special effects etc it is going to be 2019. Even if they started right now there is no way they are going to get all that done in 1 year ready for release next summer.
