Racing incident. Start penalising these things and it's pointless racing.

Well going by the cry babies on FB Lewis should be banned, yet Max Crasappen as he was called early in his f1 days was blameless.
CH can do one and get off his pedestal

Agreed,. If it had been the other way Horner would be shouting racing incident.

Re: F1 2021 Season Thread
And how many times has Hamilton claimed innocence on the basis that the car he shoved off the track had plenty of room to move across out of his way?
Verstappen was more than half a car length ahead and therefore had "right of way". The stewards seemed to agree with that.

How much space did Max have to his left on the outside?
F1 and F1 fans are so stupid sometimes, it makes me want to stop watching. We all call for more action, as soon as we get it, this happens. There was space on the outside as well as the inside and going into the corner, they were almost level. If you don't want a F1 driver to go for that pass, what's the point in the sport?
Interestingly he pulled the same move on Leclerc, who managed to move out the way.
Should be classed as a racing incident and a 50/50 blame.

Verstappen had "right of way", he had passed Hamilton. It was incumbent on Hamilton to brake and/or move across, just as in the other instances where Hamilton insists that the other driver should've moved across for him.

Hamilton was turning into the corner. They were side by side at one point going into the corner. If you don't want Hamilton to break or move across, what do you want him to do? Think you might be watching the wrong sport. No wonder people think F1 is boring. Hamilton and Leclerc showed how that corner can be done without crashing.

Becoming? It's been dull, uneventful and boring since Schumacher started to dominate, just a procession everytime pretty much

Re: F1 2021 Season Thread
Vettel has been disqualified because the stewards couldn't draw the required 1litre of fuel from the car, only managing 0.3.

100Kg of fuel is put into each car before race. What does it matter at end of race.

But Aston Martin said there was 1.4 litres left in the tank.

IIRC it to control fuel consumption.
Back in the day when there were no engine controls, teams had FP engines, qualifying engines and race engines.
They could use a brand-new engine per race, and the perfect engine would break at the finish line, otherwise it carried too much weight and could cost them the race.
The Qualifying engines had little or no cooling to save on weight.
Back then an engine was easily £100,000

Re: F1 2021 Season Thread
There is a chance the Belgium GP may get cancelled due to appalling weather which isn't letting up.
