What they said was 'no extra charge'. It's a free add-on if you already get Prime.

They are extremely efficient at signing you up to Prime when you buy anything off Amazon - even when you have chosen no to Prime.
I have now resolved to never buy anything off Amazon as it is too much hassle to cancel unwanted Prime.

Interesting Netflix had 10m new subscribers this year so far - they seem to think that some of these have joined early because of Covid.
I suspect many will cancel when they are back working!

Anyone have AppleTV? Got a free trial but looks crap tbh. May just cancel it.

Took out the trial just to watch Beastie Boys Story but cancelled after that... not much there to interest me at present though I may take out a month when Foundation hits the service next year or thereabouts.

I must say I've never had a problem cancelling prime, seems fairly straightforward.

It does represent good value, even with the price rise. However, for the streamers the challenge is if they all raise prices 25% someone subscribing to 4 or 5 services might decide to drop the weakest one.

I did, but they still sent me emails 15 minutes later welcoming me etc.
This is the second time this has happened, first time I didn't realise and paid for 3-4 months before I did.
Totally finished with Amazon.

Surely, pressing a button to say you don't want Prime is not that much of a hassle!
As far as Netflix is concerned, I am pretty sure there won't be a huge drop-off of subscriptions. There is a lot of good content on there, and once into it, you can see straight away what you have been missing with conventional TV channels.
Try telling your teenage kids you are scrapping Netflix! Give me some warning - I'll keep my head down!

Re: Netflix/Streaming Services
Let me know when you convince the Mrs to ditch Virgin’s top package. I imagine the reaction will be much the same.

Absolutely £20p/m for movies and is it 15 entertainment channels now? plus box sets certainly is excellent value for money especially as there's rumpurs W and Alibi will be joining the lineup in the future too.
