Well, we could do with a lot less of it because it is very invasive and corrupts our way of life instead of enhancing it.
This one little example about football commentators says it all, really.

Unusually, I totally agree with you.
There is something wrong with a woman's voice commentating on a football match.
They often have little to offer in the way of insight, just inane comments.
Is there some diversification rule that says companies have to have a percentage of women commentators? (Similar to women on company boards)
It is so sexist to have quotas - everything should be decided on ability irrespective of sex, colour and sexual orientation!

All appointments to jobs should be made on the basis of knowledge, skills, ability and experience. Nothing else should come into it, frankly, except perhaps attitude.

Yes I saw the kick-off times for Amazons Xmas streaming.
Hoping to get a free month offer to try the wonderful world of streaming - will I be able to do this through the V6 or will I need to use a computer/tablet?

The V6 already supports Amazon Prime.

He is talking about whether he can get a free month offer through his V6 or does he have to do it online.

No, I was ensuring I could stream the games through the V6.
I already assumed I would need to arrange a trial offer online - just didn't want to watch on my computer screen.
I presume, with the wonderful world of streaming, I will be able to start viewing a match at any convenient time after kick-off?
Assuming my previous assumption is correct, Anyone know how long these games will be available for?

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Live sports streaming via Amazon works fine on the V6. Their current sport has a replay option for later viewing but that may be highlights.

So streaming (the future according to some?) means I would have to be in to watch the full match at the time it kicks off, won't be able to record it, will have to sit glued to the screen as if I were at the match (in case I miss anything) be unable to view replays of goals and other key action points? Have to choose which game to stream if more than 1 kick-off at the same time.
I have to do this to watch my favourite team play midweek championship matches and I am not in favour.
I am waiting for someone to tell me the positives behind this retrograde step.

I don't know the answer to that, but surely that depends on what the provider decides. There is no reason why you cannot rewind the match from where you start or view it later. You can do that on the BBC iPlayer, so it is not the technology itself that prevents this.
You are correct in saying that you cannot record the stream, but its availability after the match could still be accessed, dependent on what the service provider decides/negotiates.

I would want to watch whole games not just highlights.
I was led to believe, that I could start watching the stream of a match at any time after it actually starts within a pre-defined number of days.
If this is not the case then streaming would be a big disappointment for me!
