One of them was showing Real Lives +1 the other day instead of Real Lives. They just seem to be messing about.

Good find - we did not see '+1' sign just 'Real Lives' until tonight.
We now think 'Channel A' may turn out to be 'Sky One +1' or 'Pick +1'.

They've used Sky channels on test streams before and they ended up not being used for Sky channels in my short time observing DBR data. So I wouldn't be so sure these will end up being Sky channels.

We have not seen them doing that - anyway DBR says "Channel B" is broadcast with "Teletext - re Subtitles". If they do happen to be Sky own Channels the Virgin Media EPG will look very bad. They will have Channels 228 and 229 unless
A) Sky ask for other channels to move or
B) Sky ask Virgin to axe Sky's SD Channels if they also have an HD Channel.

"Channel A" and "Channel B" was working names only.
Anyway Channel B has become RealLives +1 and has been added to Channel 207.

How has it been added? VM has had Real Lives+1 for a while, and on 207. It's just moved multiplex.
On another note, Project 2 has "moved" alongside it. Can't tell what that is as screengrab is an advert.

We did not even know that RealLives +1 was ever on Virgin Media UK. Only Sky Basic channel we watch at Media Boy HQ is Sky Two.

An EPG slot to advertise an app. How quaint.
Perhaps a valuable use of 40 grand on the Sky platform if it launches.

I know they do, I'm just pointing out that it's an effective use of so-called outdated technology, and incurs a cost, time and effort to maintain.
