Getting a UPS
im fedup lately of having a number of power outages here there have been 4 since November so ive decided to get a UPS.
Now ive worked out using a PSU calculator what approx i need it came out saying this....
Load Wattage: 440 W
Recommended UPS rating: 850 VA
Recommended PSU Wattage: 490 W
On Amazon ive been having a look around and i found this UPS, do u guys think it will do and will it be ok for the future for adding things?

UPS are only real for shutting down a system safely.
Other than that I feel they are not worth the agro.

With that UPS you can leave your computer with monitor running for another 30mins got a similar unit here myself.
just make sure you disable the beep on it when the power does go off as it is loud (and most of the time powercuts happen during the night as well so not really great)

I've had 3 different ones, all failed in months due to dodgy batteries, despite them being permanently connected to the mains and never subject to outages.

Yes, I've had an APC for a couple of years. It's a smaller unit, but never lets me down. We get "brown outs" and it maintains a smooth supply to my kit. It evens sends me an email when these drop outs occur.
