But a VHD box doesn't record. I had no problems watching live channels on Tivo, and only a little inconvenience watching recorded shows. Also, from reports, it appears to have been fixed within a day.

As per VM:
Customers nationwide may have problems today accessing the TiVo home screen.
Error C130 or C133 will probably be shown.

For at least the last hour there has been a nationwide TiVo problem.
Error code C133 means that the box cannot connect to VM, VOD doesn't work etc.
Source: 150.

Indeed as l tried to change a recording this morning and no other showings were there and its recording episodes they ain't new.

My box is now showing the Discovery Bar as opposed to the error message, so I'm assuming the problem has now been resolved??
The general problem of slow responses to commands sometimes makes going into Planned Recordings a PITA, so it might be that Den.

Selected recordings as selected from the EPG.
I am in the Thames Valley aria.
My TiVo starts recording late and ends recording ate even though it is set to start and stop On Time.
I have cleared all and set it to reconnect to the network which took about an hour but that has not solved the problem.

It should now be fully resolved, but some TiVos will need to do a couple of network connections. If something isn't working, go into Help & Settings -> Settings -> Network, and do "Connect to Virgin Media Service now". Then when it's completed, do it again.
