Old tariffs for the chop?
Can anyone out there in VM land let us know whether the old tariff my wife has been using for years - Addict Extra - courtesy of having VM services at home is no longer going to be honoured? After a long and frustrating call to a CS advisor neither of us could understand, we're none the wiser. Is she going to be forced to change to the 'big' tariffs?

Re: Old tariffs for the chop?
If you are upgrading then you will need to take one of the currently offered tariffs.

Re: Old tariffs for the chop?
My son wanted the same VM phone tariff as his sister (unlimited everything for £16.50 per month). He can't have it, but she can change her tariff to one of many, most of which I think are historic, often charging more for less!

No not upgrading at all. The wife's been on that tariff for years.

Re: Old tariffs for the chop?
I have the same problem. I'm on the old addict tariff pay £15 a month and I very rarely use any of the credit and it mounts up. So every few months I just buy a bundle by texting BUY Data5. I just did this and got the message back "Sorry, but that's not something we offer. "
When did they stop this?
In the app on my phone it says "what you've got left to 02/08/15"?
What is happening?

Re: Old tariffs for the chop?
I've just spoken to someone in CS and apparently the Buydata5 is still available but there is a problem with the system.
One day VM will shock us all and something will work from day 1, but don't hold your breath

Re: Old tariffs for the chop?
Will be very cross if they kill my Simply8p.
Once upon a time VM's payg rates were good, now they are pretty terrible compared to the PAYG321 of Three and Delight Mobile (does not require 3G phone), and a number of others, but the main key - Three is a major operator, not some MVNO taking the scraps that the big guys aren't interested in.

Re: Old tariffs for the chop?
I've already got us all 3 PAYG SIMs which we will migrate to fully if VM don't get their act together soon. Their new tariffs are utter rubbish.

Re: Old tariffs for the chop?
I've just got my PAC code going to "EE". Paying the same getting double the data, 500 minutes, unlimited text and I've still got tethering plus 4G.
Bye, bye Virgin Mobile.
