Everything Everywhere, the British telecoms operator, has struck an agreement to provide mobile services for Virgin Media, gaining a contract expected to be worth more than £300m in revenue over a period of five years.
The agreement to provide a telecoms network for Virgin Mobile is one of the largest so-called “virtual operator” contracts in Europe. EE had previously held the contract, although signing a renewed deal will be a relief to the UK company given the competition from other telecoms groups during a long tender process. The deal could be announced as soon as this week.
Funny how the article called EE a "British telecoms operator", possibly foretelling the future where they owned by British Telecom, becoming a British British Telecom telecoms operator!
