Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
He is indeed, I bought it from RGB as that's where he bought his from. Mine is the model up from his though, and what impresses me even more about it is that Samsung will be releasing a piece of kit next year that you plug in to the TV to upgrade it. So it's like having a new TV every year without the expense of buying one, if that makes sense

Shows there can be decent people in this world.

The vast majority I believe - it's just that most of them or their kind deeds never make the news.

It's a piece of kit that upgrades the existing hardware. Kind of like over locking I suppose

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Anyway, now for my good news.
The missus has just completed her trial month of karate training at my eldest's club and has decided to continue. Not only does she get the benefit of the sensei who's a former England international, she has the added bonus that our lad conducts the training sessions with him so she's not quite as nervous as she might be as an adult beginner.
Now all I have to worry about is them ganging up on me...

Still not sure what it upgrades? The important TV specs relate to the screen.

Funnily enough, I remember hearing a clip on one of the I'm Sorry, I Haven't A Clue episodes that he has presented of Jack really getting the giggles (to the point where he couldn't control himself) and then suddenly exclaiming "Oh no! If this goes out, I'm ruined."
He is both an excellent comedian and an excellent replacement for Humphrey Lyttleton on ISIHAC.

With Samsung allowing apps on their TV screens (including games), they've designed their new TVs so they are slightly modular and the upshot of this is that the TV's CPU can be swapped out for a faster one. Not sure about Graphics, memory or storage though.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
I don't really want the TV to over power the room though, so in my case a 40in sits perfectly in the corner.

Watch out for the very firm finger on the shoulder. And a swift open palm or a right foot planted forward Oh, a completely calm, in control expression. I'm sure you kow all of that
I didn't learn Karate. My 2 eldest did. I went for Aikido. Same principlesI think.
I'm glad for her.
I wish I'd have known a move or 3 many years ago.
Go Gurl. It's very confidence building and focussing.
Tickets arrived for my first ever live folk band. Seated. I'm not sure that I'll be able to comply with the last bit

Thanks to K for posting the band's music on the forum.
