Re: Uninstalling Messenger Live from Vista

Dont think CCLeaner has the option to remove messanger.

Try this russ, it works on xp, so may work on 32bit vista.

Re: Uninstalling Messenger Live from Vista

Thanks but I don't want to disable it, I want to uninstall it.

---------- Post added at 23:18 ---------- Previous post was at 23:16 ----------

OK I've just realised it's part of 'Windows Live Essentials' - when I click on 'uninstal' it doesn't do anything. Looking online comes up with all kinds of cunfusing methods to remove Windows Live mail etc when all I want to go is uninstall msn!!

Re: Uninstalling Messenger Live from Vista

Or (clutching at straws) Control panel\administrative tools\services and then look for any reference to messenger and right click\properties select disable from the start-up type.

Just seen your other post so ignore this

Looking at the link Kymmy supplied it could be hit or miss, suck it and see I guess.
