Yahoo Virus ?
In the last 12 hours, I have received 2 seperate emails, with exe attachments which Avast stopped to alert me.
These are apparently from <serv@yahoo.co.uk> the file names were Update-KB3046-x86.exe and Update-KB6906-x86.exe
So if you do indeed use a yahoo mail account, just be careful. These emails were unsolicited, and who knows what these exe files contain. I suspect it may be malware of some kind.

From what I can tell, there is no text in the email, which is suspicious in itself. Never ever, open exe files sent, especially when they are unsolicited. Just to clarify, Avast alerted me to "suspicious attachment extension" it never alerted me to a virus or malware. But to be on the safe side, I deleted it straight away, for the reason's laid out earlier.

yahoo email is based centrally and not on your machine so there is no need to have any software to run yahoo mail.Yahoo messenger will update through its own program and not via email

I use the pop service though. And use an email client.
I'm still suspicious, as the update exe files are different, numerically. If it was some kind of legitimate update, surely the update version would be the same number.

I use Pegasus, safer than most clients.
Not using BT yahoo, just a normal Yahoo mail account, but use their pop service, so can download emails direct to Pegasus.
