connection problem over the weekend in the bromley area?

is it just me or is the broadband connections down? I live in the bromley area. Have had no net the WHOLE weekend. (From Saturday after the thunder storm) which blew my TV and thought it had blown my XBOX to be thank god it only blew a fuse with the xbox.

P.S which meant I had to find a life

Hmmm, nothing on server status, but to be honest not sure where Bromley is.

I assume the modem is OK though, after the thunderstorm?

Re: connection problem over the weekend in the bromley area?

while I got a PACE STB with built in Cable modem. The box seems to be fine as I can view all my usual channels however the light which is usual on which shows it is connected keeps flashing and I cant get on line. I phone Tech support and they said it was in the area and would be up and running by mid day yesterday this morning and still no luck. does anybody actually know whether it is an area problem or are they taken the mickey out of me?

Had this same problem since Friday's storm in Bedfordshire. Power and PC Link lights are on green, by my Cable Status light has just been flashing orange all weekend and still is.

Engineer is coming out wednesday, had to be the thunder, since it turned my pc off at the time, everything came back on again and worked, apart from my cable connection. TV is alright though

We had a lighning strike too, followed by problems connecting. Turned out the strike had taken out just the router connection to the STB - everything else worked fine. Next door neighbour had the same problem with his modem! Very strange, but a replacement router sorted me out.

Well I live near Bromley, and didn't lose the connection. It might be worth another call to NTL..
