how to load mods in BF1942

So guys, I tried looking about and reading the readme files, anyone know how you load the mods?

There is a TAB on the main Screen called CUSTOM Game - this does the trick..

Or create a shortcut and add +game XPack1 (whatever dir is called basically in MODS)

Been trying this for days, it still does not show the custom tab

Is this right?+

"D:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +game XPack1 WhoDaresWins

Not quite, look in your Directory Mods, in mine are as follows:

bf1942
XPack1 (this been Road to Rome)
XPack2 (Secret Weapons of WWII)
DesertCombat (DC 0.7)
DC_Final (DC 0.8)

so on your it should be like:

"D:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +game WhoDaresWins

Thats if there is a dir called WhoDaresWins fore example

Not sure why you dont have a CUSTOM on your Game, def has on mine. I bought mine as a Pack - featuring all three titles, patched up to latest etc..

Yeah I figured it out mate, I was running version 1.2 of the game, now patched to 1.6 and works fine.

NP - btw Battlefield 2 is even more "Hidden away" - took me ages to find it and its not where you think it would be.

I would recommend Desert Combat Mod if you aint got it - its free and adds Helecopters etc to the game plus bringing it more into this century type of thing. Its not quite BF:2 bit the Vehicles handle better I would say...

did you find the custom tab ?
at the ingame screen click multiplay / custom filter /show all. & all your mods will be visible. Desert Combat mod not to be missed tho unfortunately servers have diminished due to BF2
