Unhappy Fire tablet moisture warning

My Fire Tablet is neither a desktop nor a laptop. I'll chance it.

<Gulp!> I'm getting the dreaded moisture warning again, though this time I have no idea why. Charge is currently 98%, though, so a few days' drying out (if indeed there is moisture) will sort it - and at worst, my documents, music and photos are all backed up, so getting a new tablet, if I have to, won't be a problem. Quickest transfer method: use the MicroSD card c/o my USB adapter and my laptop to copy backups onto it, plug it into the new tablet and copy or move them to main memory.

Does anyone else ever get this intermittent occurrence? Is the software too sensitive, overreacting to what it thinks is moisture when in fact there's nothing? As far as I can see, there's nothing, but that icon persists. I shut down JIC and turned it on again in case this was a spurious one-off, but it's still there.

Oh well. Not a disaster. At worst I get a new tablet...again.

We'll see what's what in a couple of days. Amazon does advise doing nothing, just letting it dry out, but ATM it has a tiny wad of tissue in there. Can't hurt, I don't think.

- Wait, the icon's gone! I've plugged in a recharge lead (different one, JIC) and the icon has not reappeared. But to be cautious, I'm going to let it get down to about 5% before recharging.

Whew. Maybe it was a spurious event after all.
