				UK Fraud

		| Fraud now accounts for one-in-three crimes - but just 2% are detected.
Fewer than 1% of police officers directly investigate fraud.

And despite nearly 2,000 fraud offences being committed daily in England and Wales, just one in 50 is prosecuted.

No need for them to have it, doesn't stop them accepting/delivering orders. Same with a lot of other companies demanding tel numbers. If they insist they can have '01234567890'.

I had the "Amazon Prime" robotic voice telling me my subscription credit card details were incorrect. I don't have Amazon Prime, and I wasn't born yesterday.

The nature of the frauds means that they can commit many offences without having to physically move around as they would for crimes such as burglary. That will be one reason for fraud accounting for a high proportion of crime. A person could easily commit 10 crimes a day just sitting at a desk.

If they do catch the fraudster , they are given a very lenient which is very likely to be a suspended sentence.

I think fraud is a major issue, and if you think you have been a victim of fraud send me your bank account details and online banking passwords and I’ll perform a free check for you.
