changing tv package online
received an email from virgin media offering me tv xl added to my essential collection
i clicked through and did it online at around 8pm this evening and have had an email saying its being processed
any ideas when i can expect to see the channels appearing, should i have called up to get them on quicker ?
any advice or previous experience of this would be appreciated

Re: changing tv package online
I believe the offer is online only, so you couldn't have phoned up
Online upgrades normally go through within 24 hours I think

Re: changing tv package online
I'd also check you're getting the offer advertised. I once upgraded online from M+ to XL as it was advertised £8 per month extra for 6 months then £18 after that. When I got my confirmation email through it was going to charge me an extra £20! Needless to say I quickly rang up and cancelled it.

Re: changing tv package online
just called them, obviously only got the overseas call centre at this time
she is saying there is no such offer on my account so she can't put it on, even suggesting the mail i got didn't come from virgin (nor the confirmation email presumably)
ties in with ben's online only comment i guess, bit annoying if i can't sort this out before monday. forgot it was early closing today

Re: changing tv package online
Generally I'm really pleased with all my services from VM, but must admit my only complaint is some of the service you receive from The overseas call centres is shocking, to say the least. They do often seem to be totally unaware of what is going on!.

Re: changing tv package online
I'd avoid upgrading online, it often knocks off any loyalty discounts you may have on the account.
