Logitech Universal remote issues

Hi
I have a Logitech 1000 universal remote (the large square one with touchscreen), and am having difficulties programming it for my new tivo box.
Whilst the remote seems to recognise the model number Cisco CT8565, and even prompts me to manually learn a few button commands, it then has a blank display on the standard screens when in activity mode (ie when the number button screen is selected no numbers show, and when the play screen is selected, this is also empty of commands such as fast forward play pause etc.
If I go into the device screen for the unit, I can see the commands, but simply laid out as named buttons in no particular order.
Has anyone else found this, and, more importantly, found a solution?
Thanks

Re: Logitech Universal remote issues

There is a whole thread devoted to Logitech universal remotes and the Tivo box IIRC

Re: Logitech Universal remote issues

Thanks for your assistance with this. Unfortunately, it hasn't really helped, as I have tried the suggestions (seeting up as Cisco, setting up as Virgin Media) and neither have solved my problem. In the end I have reverted to the settings for the Scientific Atlanta V+ remote, and this covers most controls. It just doesn't feel like the right way to go, and obviously will require learning many additional commands etc.
I have logged a query with Logitech, and will see what their response is.

Thanks again for your help
