Personalising your favourites on program guide

Not so many years ago when the on screen program guide was a nice blue colour, you used to have the facility to change the order of your favourite channels to suit your viewing preference.
There seems to be no logic in channel allocation to +1 channels, HD etc. and it would be quite nice to be able to re-arrange them in favourites in a more convenient order for channel hoppers like me.
Is this possible or beyond the scope of the software used to produce the guide?

It's a commercial decision to not allow this.
