virgin Media router never arrived when promised

been 2 weeks now since i change my services and i have not received the router for when i upgraded to 20 meg from 10;
I just received a letter this morning informing of my new contract installation date 18th nov this is 27th:
why was this sent an were is the router?
i phone them on wed 24th, to find a reason the girl said it was never order (what a suppraise) meaning i wasn't to get 1;
as i do no its going 2 take another 3. to 5 days expected by tuesday 30th,
again i wont hold my breath for it to arrive as this is a private courier who sending it: i am not in most days so i am going miss it being sent to me;
not very happy with this
been with ntl/virgin for 10 years

Can you not arrange for a neighbour to accept delivery?

Not unless you left a message for him. A friend just pinned a note on his door "deliver all parcels to NoXX". He received his OK.

The router will be delivered by YODEL ( formerly HDNL ) and the will be a tracking number on your account that an agent can give you which will tell what is happening with your parcel and gives you the option to reschedule if required.

This could explain the company name (maybe using old cards?) YODEL ( formerly HDNL )

Quite often there is a service button or similar for deliveries or utility companies to enter high rise with call buttons at the entrance.

Re: virgin Media router never arrived when promised

There has been a little bit of inclement weather recently, which has affected delivery of many sorts of goods (for instance, I am awaiting 3 or 4 deliveries from Amazon).
