REQ simple guide for setting up a secure VPN

does anyone have a nice simple guide or best options for setting up a secure VPN to avoid the ridicules usenet throttle (12hrs on weekends wtf)

looking to use VM usenet over VPN

Doesn't matter what the traffic over your connection is (whether its usenet/p2p/normal web) - its always throttled if you go over the download allowance peak times AFAIK (unless its recently changed)

^ I don't think op is referring to STM but to application throttling.

VPN traffic will probably be classified as 'unknown' and so throttled as such...whatever that is.

Where the guide specifies pptp.relakks.com change that to the address of your vpn provider.

Worthwhile VPN's cost around £5-10 per month but I doubt there are many that will give you speeds comparable to even a throttled direct VM connection on anything above 10meg.
