ps3 utorrent problem

hi everyone i'm having a bit of trouble playing fifa 11 online whilst my bittorrent client is running on my nas drive. if i disable the bittorrent client everything is peachy but when enabled, and also only when seeding you can't play a game online it starts juddering and eventually looses connection.

i have a 20 meg cable connection a dir 615 router (which is about to be replaced with a netgear dual band router) and a netgear gigabit switch.

i put the ps3 in the dmz and there was no improvement hence the new router, which i hope may solve the problem but any input would be appreeciated.

Re: ps3 utorrent problem

Try double clicking the file you're downloading and limit the top upload setting to 1 or 2. It'll probably be set to 0 right now which means unlimited.

Re: ps3 utorrent problem

Another thing to try if supported by your router is enable QOS and throttle the bandwidth on P2P traffic. It shouldn't effect your PS3 bandwidth but should reduce the impact of downloading P2P based traffic. Not that we support such practices of course
