Total loss of services bradford bd21 area

Not sure if this is correct part of forum but here goes.
Does anybody know what caused a total loss of Telco / TV / Broadband yesterday from 16:00 to 09:00 today in the BD21 area. I've rarely lost just boadband but to loose all three services I've never had that before since I've had cable since the first days of Yorkshire Cable many moons ago. Trying to contact faults via a mobile and foreign call centre proved totally impossible at the time.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

At this time of the year it's usually some builder on a JCB snagging the cable.

Re: Total loss of services bradford bd21 area

It happened again yesterday we lost Telco/TV/Broadband about 18:00hrs and it was still off at midnight. That's twice in seven days we have lost all services. Rang faults this morning to find out whats going on, only to be told that there was no info on the system as the problem allegedly occurred yesterday. Surely somebody must know whats going on, there must surely be a historical log of events on the system. Any info would be much appreciated.

We ahad a fibre break in the Glasgow area. You would have got a service status message when you called through.

also it would have been detailed on the Status Page.

Re: Total loss of services bradford bd21 area

I'm also in the BD21 area and all the services have gone off completely 3 times in the last few weeks.

Now I'm not just talking about everything being off for a few minutes, my TV BB and phone have been off for a total of well over 24hrs. Now I've just spoken to customer services regarding this months bill and was told this sort of downtime is totally normal and that no credit would be added to my account.

I quoted the reference number that was kindly provided above, but the call centre agent didn't have a clue what to do with it!??!

It's a joke for me to be without all 3 VM services for that amount of time only to be told that's normal. I've only been with Virgin for a couple of months and I'm quite shocked by this attitude....

I recieved a credit for both outages. Ring retentions and explain what's happened and they will most likely sort you out with some sort of credit.
