was flicking through the channels on monday night as i was a bit board. i stumbled across this story on bbc4. it was call 'your farther's murderer - a letter to zachary'.
wasn't intending to watch the whole thing (being in channel jumper mode), but it was a really tragic heartbreaking story - the jist was a new doc gunned down by ex, flees to canada and has his baby. his parents move there to see extradiciton proceedings and to see new grandson and to try and get custordy. she gets bail (twice) and eventually drugs the the infant (if remember was younger than 18 months) and herself and jumps into the ocean killing them.

i woke the missus up (sleeping on the sofa as usual) when i shouted in a quiet but ****ed off voice 'you f'in biatch - unusually emotion had gotten the better of me.
the film is a mash of family videos/pics etc, and started by the doc's best mate - it was to be a montage of family and friends talking about the baby's farther so he would know about him. but as you watch you see how things take a tragic turn for the worse as seen by the grandparents.
i will stop rambling on now. but if anyone didn't see it, it's on iplayer for the next month or is repeated on bbc4 on sunday at 23:45 (late i know so recording maybe handy unless you have a bout of insommnia)
