Recover Old Emails NTLWORLD

Hi, I changed to Outlook at the start of 2009. In that time my old emails if i logged into my ntlworld.com email where still available, including sent mail, drafts etc

This was important as I occasionaly would need access to these old SENT emails for a court case.

Now all of a sudden EVERYTHING is gone in if I log in to ntlworld.com, I have only what's in my Outlook since crossing over.

Can VirginMedia help recover these important emails. I need dated back to October 2008 or before???

Or is there even software that someone has had SUCCESS with?

Any help HUGELY appreciated?

MC

Re: Recover Old Emails NTLWORLD

Not 100% sure where you are coming from so I'm sure you'll correct me if I get things wrong or elaborate further.

Email clients such as Outlook, Outlook express,Thunderbird etc will download all received emails from your ISP's server and then delete them from the server. This is because of the limited space on the server (OK things have changed in that department somewhat.).

They would not download or delete anything from your sent items stored on the server although any sent items since you started using the client would be stored on your PC and not the server. (With me so far?).

So anything in the sent items on the ISP server BEFORE you started using Outlook has nothing to do with your use of Outlook and must be to do with Ex NTL/Virgin Media.

I know this doesn't solve your issue but at least you can discount Outlook as the cause of the loss of sent items fron the VM server.
