Terrible cable bb connection for the last 5 days in Oxford OX4

Hello,
We've had a terribly bad cable broadband connection for the last five days. Anyone know if something is going on in the Oxford area? I tried ringing VM but they weren't very helpful. Said my SNR was bad but couldn't say why or if it was an issue that they could fix.

I'm on the 10Mb service. My current speedtest results are:
0.56Mbps down with a 19ms ping. The upload test won't actually complete (which is not normal).

According to the forum topic on modem power levels all my downstream and upstream powers and SNRs look fine.

Downstream Receive Power Level : -2.7 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 39.5 dB
Upstream transmit Power Level : 40.0 dBmV

Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers,
Flibble Wibble

The SNR issue will be on the uBR that you are connected that is why yours looks normal and engineers will be working on that issue.

Thanks for the reply. I was directed by Virgin Media to an unhelpful service status phone line which stated a few areas currently having problems... mine wasn't one of them.

I'll just wait a few days and hope it gets sorted.
