Re: Lagg
I have lag too between channel changes and have pinned this down to the delay TV recording that allows you to rewind live TV. As every time you change the channel the box starts recording on your behalf so when you change channel the previous saved program is deleted and the recording is started again on the new channel.
At the moment I don't think that there is a way to switch off the delay TV feature.

Re: Lagg
Same here. A huge step backwards speedwise from my old stb, I ain`t too fussed about the live tv feature so the ability to disable it would be useful. Any idea if this will be included in future updates?

Re: Lagg
I have had v+ for 2 weeks now and the triple tuner and tv delay function is superb BUT... my box is slowly getting slower when responding to remote functions. Tonight i wanted to record america pie wedding at 9pm itv2
I hit tv guide button at 8.55 and the thing locked up telling me it was loading guide.
I waited 4 mins and nothing, i reset the box which takes another 3 mins, then when i hit tv guide it has to load the entire guide again - 4 mins. By the time it got there and i could hit record the program was 5 mins into it.!! Swear ! the air was blue.
This is about the 5th time i have had to reset the box and there is no trend to it i.e no similar times, buttons pressed - it just plain naff.

Re: Lagg
I changed the batteries in the remote last night and it made some difference to the channel lag but it is still pretty poor compared to my old stb and my cheapo freeview box.

Re: Lagg
I don't know if this will work for anyone else but I have found that with the V+ remote I need to use the TV key to remove the mini guide then use the channel up and down keys. I hope this makes sense. I definitely have 2 speeds of channel hopping this way.

Re: Lagg
The latest software update for VM appears to have corrected most of these issues for me

Re: Lagg
I used to get this problem of lag all of the time..ive had V+ since it was launched and it has steadily got better over time, I do know that update software patches are implemented regularly and the patches tend to alleviate many problems. my box seems to be working perfectly all round at the moment..my last big problem getting VoD seems to have cleared...touch wood.

Re: Lagg
Hansi, Have a short trawl though the other threads a fair few number of us have the same problems. BUT,and I'm going to whisper this, ... rebooted my V+ and unplugged the Samsung this morning as I have been doing quite frequently whilst my problems have been passed repeatedly to 151 and 2nd level and.... drum roll.....every thing is now working
Just keep politely hammering away at 151 and ask if they can put you through to V+ problems section at Swansea. (I only heard about them a couple of days ago on another thread so,) I didn't need to try that route.

Re: Lagg
Luckily I still had the mobile number of the techie man who rang me to check my original installation, so I rang him to tell him of my problems with V+ and VOD, and he told me that he would ring CS and get them to call me. 10 minutes later, Swansea rang me, tried to sort it out and when they couldn't, they arranged for an engineer for this afternoon! Just hope he turns up now!

Re: Lagg
I don't have lag on my V+. I got it sorted cause when I first had it I had lag. Apparantly it's just one of the setting they do wrong when installing a V+ box.

Re: Lagg
We have a 1 to 2 second delay when changing up and down channels. If I browse my favourites with the mini guide, it takes the same amount of time. I sometimes think it hasn't regstered the command, so I press it again and miss the channel.
The installer said it would be like that for a few hours, this was a week ago.
Don't get me started on the VOD, Interactive or the Help menu (none of them work) and I can't get through to Customer Service or faults.
