Need help with Dolby Digital

How can you set up dolby digital on the V+ box?
None of the engineers know how and im worried it is specific to HD tvs only.

Re: Need help with Dolby Digital

As far as I am aware there is no audio optical outlet on the V+ box, if you are connected by HDMI cable to the tele , I've connected tele to the surround sound system by ordinary 3 jack connecters and the surround sound seems to work o.k.

Re: Need help with Dolby Digital

Dolby Digital only has 2 transmittion methods on the Amps
1, Opitcal lead usaly up to 5.1 channels.
2, 1 copper cable coaxil 8.1 channels and going up.
If you connect to the amplifier another way its usaly not a dolby digital feed, its a Dolby pro logic 1 or 2.

This is correct, some is in DD stereo surround and some is 5.1, use the HDMI overide in the V+ box setup menu to get it.
