Old NTL Box
When I moved out of my old house, NTL told me to hold onto the Box and someone will collect it when I get installed in the new premesis I am moving to....
turns out, NTL had a fault with their cable to the new house, so this was delayed a few months...in that time, I forgot I had the old PACE ntl box to give back to them. The engineer came, installed a new box and job was a goodun...I was in the loft today, and come across my other NTL pace box, basically exactly the same as what I have now, with the older remote.
My quesiton:
Can I use this upstairs? or is this against some kind of rule etc? Would NTL even know I had it connected?
thanks for all the info

Re: Old NTL Box
Simple answer, if you want ntl's services, you must pay for them. To reconnect it you still have to add a subscription.
The Pace box should have been collected by ntl, it remains their property. Phone them to arrange a collection.
To attempt to bypass the subscription systems is theft of services, and will not be discussed further on this thread. Some posts deleted.

Re: Old NTL Box
I hope you dont misunderstand me Rob C. I DO pay for their subscription, I have full NTL package downstairs, and BB upstairs, I was merely asking if this box is allowed to be put back on their network, oppose to paying another £10 a month for an additional box, which is essentially what I have got already.
I have told them twice now that I still have it, they are not interested.

Re: Old NTL Box
@webslinger2k No I don't misunderstand you at all. You asked a legitimate question. A large element of my post was targeted at those who made posts, which are now deleted.
Simple answer, yes the STB could well be reconnected, with ntl's consent, and appropriate subscription. Chances are though it will be listed as missing in some database. ntl are their own worst enemies when it comes to failing to collect these things.
