Angry n00b AltGr problem

Yes the useless button that no one uses unless you like writting foreign stuff.

Hell this sux I have acquired a really irritating problem with my vaio.

Whilst phreaking in the library or so the story goes... God got one back on me and knocked and faffed up my key mapping.

Whilst there I use the winamp shortcut keys

CTRL+ALT+PGUP (prev file)
CTRL+ALT+PGDN (next file)
CTRL+ALT+UP (vol+)
ETC ETC ETC

Everything was fine listen'n to ch00ns using the shortcuts but I must been hitting the up key too much and all of a sudden

CTRL+ALT+PGUP doesn't work : feck

all other shortcuts work as usual but not this one : Thinks I must have toggled international or something ? ALTGR is a grey area g00glin for it has not yielded much other than the fact dont use CTRL+ALT for shortcuts as they'll **** up your life.

Last night I discovered that I could only access
CTRL+ALT+PGUP by either

ALTGR + PGUP or sticky key CTRL THEN ALT THEN PGUP.

This sux man....

Someone please help I don't wanna use 'shuffle'

Re: n00b AltGr problem

Can you use something like this to see what's gone wrong with your mapping & remap?

w00t nice link thankyou but it didn't work....

When holding down ctrl alt fn pgup it didnt even give me a keycode.

BUT DOH ! I have another FN key on the left hand side of the keyboard

ctrl alt fn pgup is recognised from this side and even works in winamp without remapping.

How the heck do I get back the mapping via the right hand sided fn key I dont know. Will prolly give up on it soon

Re: n00b AltGr problem

Can't you see what scancode you're getting for altgr, ctr & alt keys separately & then work out what's gone wrong?

Re: n00b AltGr problem

Just got back to base camp.

All I can say is thanks again to Cobbydaler for that link it's a good app which I will Xreference with another Windoze machine.

I'll have to make do with the left FN key strokes for now.

this.Thread.suspend() unless System.invokesuggestion(cableforumuser);
