Hope someone can help me I used to have a pace stb and recently upgraded my broadband which required a box change this was done but the terrestrial signal comming out of the samsung stb is not strong picture very grainy.
On the pace box picture was very clear to every tv in the house. I had a fault technician out and he said unfortunately NTL does not sort out other reception besides cable tv.
Question is there any fix that i could try to sort out this problem as I am now in the dog box with the missus blaming my broadband upgrade for the poor terrestrial signal.

Re: samsung stb
call up your local tv aerial installer and get them to come out and check your aerial and cabling.
Older pace boxes have a facility called a "bypass". This uses analogue frequencies from ntl to provide 1 - 5. Obviously ntl plan to turn off these analogue signals eventually, so this feature was removed from newer set top boxes.

When ntl: installed my Samsung they put a special box on the back so that I could continue to watch the analogue channels. Have you got one of these installed?

These are only available to customers in Langley regions. As iTekweni mentions that his box was changed because of a broadband speed upgrade, he's in a Bromley region (Sunderland?) and so isn't eligable for one.
well guys just a bit of feed back problem has been sorted out, had to go into the engineers menu and alter the attenuated value from high to low and hey presto problem solved.
thanks for all the help i recieved from the forum members.
