Im trying to get my laptop to connect to my domain, through the use of a wireless accesspoint that is plugged into one of my hubs.. Whenever I try to join the domain it says that the network path is unreachable. I have no problems with surfing the net wirlessly etc....

Re: Joing a wirless laptop to a domain
some access points act as DHCP servers as well and will give you an address of a DNS server. For you to be able to join the domain you will need to use a DNS server that is within the domain.
For example if the main DNS server in the domain is 192.168.10.1 then on your laptop set the wireless connection to use that as its dns server!!

Any ideas suggestions gratly apreciated.

You need to ensure that the workstation in question is obtianing a dhcp lease from the server and not from the router (if thats what you have)...
1. Can you ping the pdc... ?
2. Are you on the same ip range as the pdc ... ?
3. What happens when you attempt to join the domain .... ?
In its defence it hadnt been rebooted for months and we did have apower cut, whilst the server was on UPS non of the peripherals are, switches modems etc... so I think that might have screwed up the routing tables....
Just to top it all up, i love ms so much, im upgrading our server to 2003 and exchange 2003 at the moment.....
