It was built-up frustration that manifested itself in a decision that didn't go his way *again*. On second thoughts yes, that can be unforgivable, but the way Liverpool scraped that victory shows what a knife-edge they're treading on at the moment.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
He should have gone, he kicked out, it's an auto Red these days. My point about Masch was that it turned that game, and nobody has said anything, it's just one of those things. All Hell has been let loose over our game. Just goes to show how many people where high as a kite when we where 2-0 down - cos that's all it did, it brought lots of people down to earth with a bang.
It's not even a decision that requires discussion, I don't think the keeper made enough contact on the ball to deem it a save, same exact thing in the middle of the pitch when you take a player out with a tackle, but touch the ball, doesn't always make it a clean tackle, and you give a freekick away.
And how Redknap had a clue what had happened from where the managers sit is a joke.
All this fuss is more about people in the media thinking we had lost, then we didn't, and they are crying about it.
Funny thing is, the more Sky Sports News replay it (Oh they love us over at Sky don't they?) the less I am convinced the keeper actually touched it.

Which merely means you're delusional. He touched it clearly and it wasn't in any way shape or form a penalty.

Just like with any team sometimes penalties go United's way, sometimes they don't. It happens. Move on.

That's alright then. Sorry you lost out on a Champions League/World Cup/ Play off win, it happens move on, you'll get another chance to fall foul of a flawed system, oh no perhaps you wont because they are once in a career moments spoilt by 'the best officials in the game' multi million pound sport and we are relying on one guy guessing

Take a bloody chill pill! United do NOT get every decision, neither do Liverpool, although when they cheat they get the benefit of the doubt most of the time.

Yes, exactly. It happens, from sunday league level to World Cup. Unless instant replay technology for referees is introduced nothing will change and the sooner people get used to it the better.

Sunday league isn't the World Cup and the sooner TPTB get used to it the better, this is a professional game, it's about time it was treated as such.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Howard Webb is disgusting as a ref, no way was that a penalty, if that was a penalty, then Gomez should have been sent off, but he wasn't.
Spurs were cruesing, then Webb made that terrible decision, this is why Man Utd will win the title. or was it becuase he was worried about about the backlash from King Fergie,

Pretty sure the penalty is not the reason United will win the title..

True, it's because Liverpool have dropped too many points.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Arthurgray50@blu, the thing is, as I said above, I see it every game, a tackle goes in, they take the player out, touch the ball, they get up gesturing "I got the ball" big deal, doesn't make it a good tackle just cos your foot touches the ball.
Unless the keeper makes a serious grab on the ball or at least changes the direction of the ball it's a foul, just the same as above. I don't think he got anything on the ball, it's a finger tips (Of course I am out of my mind as is already pointed out) job, and he took Carrick out.
It's just not that big of a deal, I already said why I think they have spent over 24h banging on about it as if it was the worst decision ever awarded.
Spurs cruising, not at all, they were pants, only reason they got 2-0 up is cos we where absolute crap. Fergie told them to pick the pace up, Tevez replaced the useless Nani, we would have scored anyway. Yes, that's hindsight to an extent, so is saying that Pen changed it and we would have lost without it.
I don't mind if keeper comes out, grabs ball, ref is a foot away, carrick dives, Pen, then by all means everyone moan. That isn't what happened. It was an of the moment decision, Webb couldn't see it.......but no, everyone blows it out of all proportion as usual.
I love that fact that on certain sites Liverpool fans are saying he is a Man Utd fan, dear me, he is a confirmed Liverpool fan.
