But it was ground-breaking, wasn't it - really scary if you played it in the dark. All there was before that was Wolfenstein 3D.

Yes it was. That's why when I got Doom 3, I wouldn't play it until it was dark outside, and I turned the lights off and the sound up... That game should have come with a free pack of pampers
