The stock firmware on my wndr3700 seemed to be pretty decent although I didn't spend much time with it before flashing dd-wrt. The hardware is definitely great though.

This whole firmware fiasco might be down to something as simple as instructions lost in translation between VM who speak no Chinese and a Chinese coder in a backroom somewhere relying on Google translations.

I remember posting on here saying youtube etc. hosed on the trial and VM would be in a real mess if they released the firmware, then 2 days later they did and all hell broke loose. Crazy stuff.

I was on the trial for the hub and told them it continuously reboots and said I couldn't continue the trial. It got released anyway, crazy indeed
