was just going to post about this. Got mine last night and don't like some of the tones. if I use the above app can I select my own MP3 file for this ?
Anyone know any other good FREE apps ?
Did see one app that said it could upgrade the camera to a 5MP camera, which sounded a bit dubious to me as surely the sensor is only 2MP

Yes you can use 40secs of any mp3 you have and you ca choose the 40secs that you wish to use along with fade in/out effects

Re: The iPhone thread
loving the app \ ipod side of the phone. Still getting to grips with the phone side.
One thing I can't work out how to do is how to clear down my missed calls list without removing the whole phone call history. As soon as I go into it I can either tap the name which calls them or hit the button at the end which brings up their contact details. If I hit clear it removes the entire call history including received calls

Re: The iPhone thread
Unfortunately you can't clear missed calls separately to the whole call history. It would be a useful feature though!

ah wondered about that. There are a few things on the phone side I wish were a little bit different.
When I look through my contacts and select one I want the icons at the botton to change to call \ txt \ edit \ delete. Instead they stay the same.
Apart from that a great phone

Re: The iPhone thread
The first rumoured spec change for the inevitable iPhone 4 is: a 5Mp camera. It's also rumoured that it will be announced in June (which is in line with previous iPhone announcements)

Re: The iPhone thread
Apple have released a new iPhone model the last three summers running (original, 3G, 3GS), plus have also, IIRC, actually said that it has an annual product cycle, so I think it's a given that there'll be another one next June...
I wonder what else it will have other than a rumoured 5MP camera...
My contract is up in June/July...
