Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
I've networked two of my three TiVo's and this morning I noticed that at I could see the other networked box listed at the bottom of My Shows and view everything recorded onto it. I was able to delete a recording on the "kitchen box" from the "bedroom box" but streaming is still disabled, as indicated by the symbol next to each recording. Is this since 15.3 came along or was it there prior?

I can see no difference between how it was on 15.2 and what it is now on 15.3
You could see the other boxes and delete things, but not stream on 15.2

I hadn't scrolled to the bottom of My Shows until today so I have no idea whether other network boxes would have shown there, or not, or whether it was previously possible to view and delete recordings from other boxes.
Just seen you've added a second sentence! Explains it.

Yes, I realised that my first attempt at a reply wasn't as clear as it should have been

I can't do either LOL.
Is this supposed to be working today???? The atricle does say
As the Champions League gets underway
So does that mean when more matches start to be played or what?
...hang on there IS no champions league on tonight is there???

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
When I delete programmes, I forget to go in and delete them from Deleted Recordings. As such,I now have a week's worth of programmes in there. Will they delete themselves after a time, or do I have to go through and do it myself manually?
And does it take up the allotted free space for recordings?

They'll go automatically, and it doesn't affect space for new recordings. Save yourself the bother of deleting them twice - just ignore them.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Thanks Andy, the engineer when installing wasn't very good with explaining the deleting side of things.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
US Open tennis working very well and quickly... nice one!!!! Can i ask; the press release mentioned 'eight matches at once and has a Multi-View feature, allowing games to be viewed in different formats.'
I see six choices (not complaining at that) but where and what are the different formats?
Also You can find the app in the Apps & Games section of your TiVo menu page. I don't have this in the apps page!

I don't know about the apps but the Sky red button for the US Open is by far the best red button offering I've seen on TiVo and works so very well. I guess (and I'm more than likely wrong) the different formats would be a way of describing the menu, press info for a massive amount of information.
The BBC's Olympics, great but they should take a look at this one. It just shows it wasn't the power of the TiVo that made it painfully clunky! The BBC don't even think dates are relevant on their news or sports red button/apps.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
I know that there has been a lot of discussion about the need for 'reminders' and that facility has now arrived. Could somebody explain the relevance. The reminder seems to be associated with the record function. If you have gone to the trouble of deciding that you want to record a programme and set Tivo to record, why would you need a reminder that you have done this? Even if you forget that you have set the programme to record what's the problem or am I being obtuse??

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Some people like to watch certain events (like sports) live. Which is fine. They wanted Tivo to just remind them that [live event] was starting and do they want to watch it now. Which is fine.
Unfortunately, due to the way that Tivo works, simply popping up such a reminder does not seem to be possible. No-one knows why for certain. So they implemented it the best way they could.
