Wink SOLVED!! Re: DNS problems virgin media

Apologies - I should have hunted this post down yesterday but yes, at least my own problems are solved and judging by many over on the CableHell Forum, I would suspect the Belfast one has been fully sorted now. It was quite interesting in my case tho as I had a VM tech run through a trace with me, and when it stopped on point 5 (after running through 2 NTL servers) he insisted it showed the signal had "left the building" in the sense that it had left VM routers onwards to the destination so it couldn't possibly be VM that were at fault. But it was highly interesting that not only was the problem suddenly sorted less than 15 minutes later (knew, because I started getting a flood of emails from the 3 sites in question) but when I re-ran the trace, I discovered that the next 2 steps in the trace were still working through VM servers so there you go. Shows they don't know what they don't know sadly these poor guys in Africa, or India or wherever they're based!!
