I can't believe Ipswich hasn't been done yet. Is there a way of finding out when?

Installed and up and running in Burnley.
Absolutely stonking speeds, currently rattling down 6150kb/s on Astraweb Usenet (20 simultaneous connections), brilliant!

Re: 50Mb areas
Well we've just had our bill, and have been charged £52 for the 50MB, even though we have phone, XL TV, two V+ boxes, etc etc, and it seems I'm the only bugger who hasn't been given some sort of discount. The billing manager is investigating and is going to ring me back shortly.
f ers.
edit: They just phoned me back, that's more like it, £2.50 odd extra. Not £15.

And they'll be dropping the price and introducing 10mb upload speed.

Not anytime soon surely. They will mop us early adopters up first and then consider something like that.

Pierre, I stand corrected!

Still not available in Rutherglen, Glasgow.
They must be using a different definition of "network upgrade complete" to the rest of us - maybe their dictionary says in means "coming soon".

Re: 50Mb areas
It does say 'this month' and not 'today' - there are still 16 days of July left

The headline on the release is " UK’s first high-speed network complete", not "...about to be completed". Doesn't matter, I'll wait for the price reduction before thinking about changing.
